Delivery

Thirty six dog beds delivered to the shelter today...

And 51 cases made for more. But not en masse. I am thinking that I might distribute some to quilting friends to fill, stitch up and either donate themselves or return to me to distribute. It might work, as so many people really don't want to see their scrap go to waste, and they live the idea of helping animals.  Anyway, I just couldn't let all of that cover fabric go to waste. At the end of the day, I used up everything!!!!
Quite a difference.

After all of that, I blocked the bunny rug. And then I treated myself to hooking to rectangles on my scrappy rug.
With a rectangle here and there, I am Moving Forward and linking up for Moving Forward Monday. Click on the link on the sidebar to see what others are doing to move their projects forward.

Next up, I have to make space to get my 1630 Berninas back in its table...

And find the work surface on my cutting table.
Honestly, I just can't work like this. How does it get this way????

Off to study for my Master Gardener class tomorrow.

Take Care,
Jennie

  2. I love your rug. The colors are warm and welcoming and I love those neat rows of stitches (or what are they called?) making concentric rectangles.

  4. Am glad you feel less overwhelmed with obligations. You took on too much with a well intended heart but then became bogged down with your own enthusiasm. You need time to focus on fun for you and then you'll have another chance later to help again.

  5. My cutting table looks like that right now which explains the return to knitting, my avoidance technique!

  6. Haha--you are not alone! My cutting table only has about an 18" square of clear space--the rest is piles of fabric, books, pre-cuts, tools--you name it--it's there. I clean it up and it only takes hours to revert back--ack!

  7. Wow, you have a lot going on. I love your hooked rug. I used to love making those. Just yesterday I heard of a local quilter who makes beds for the SPCA using scraps and I started keeping mine for her. You have done a lot of them!

  8. Wow, good for you, that's a lot of dog beds. Wish you were closer, I have another bag of stuffing ready to go, as I've been trimming up a lot of fabric again. Are you enjoying the Master's Gardener class? I'd love to be taking one, but there's no time. Thanks for sharing.
