I received the Quirky Ladies Pineberry Lane club piece from Dyeing to Stitch this month and got right to it.
Now to fully finish it. I think it will become a little pin pillow.
Next up, my first Stitching With the Housewives Stitch, Bloom. It is stitched with DMCs from my stash on a 28 count evenweave from FQS.
It is mounted on a mat board covered in blue gingham and trimmed with white baby rick rack. I used a magnet and washer to mount it to the cute wooden mason jar which was purchased from Homestead Needleworke on Etsy. That we I can reuse it for a Fall piece.
Thanks Priscilla and Chelsea. If you haven’t watched this mother-daughter duo on Flosstubes, treat yourselves @ Stitching With the Real Housewives of Cross Stitch.
Bird in Hand by Blackbird Designs is a Reward of Merit pattern and will finish into a sweet bowl filler. The border seems to have taken forever, though I honestly only work on it here and there.
The floss is Merlot by WDW. Mystery linen in a 32 I think. 2 strands over 2.
Now on to the fun part.
Next up is hooking progress. The Leaf and Acorn runner is hooked...just need to block and bind.
I am happy with it and look forward to using it this Fall. Just have to do my least favorite part, the actual finishing.
I started this rug with Lisanne as well. My goal is to hook a primitive rug that is soft looking, low contrast.
The pattern is Summer by Salma Dhanji available from Cushing.
I can see some tweaking that needs to happen, but I am basically happy with the start.

I have a couple of other things going (understatement), but I will save them until next time.
All of my grands are back to school...all virtually. The younger grands are in our local schools, which plan to open face to face in September. Robert is at The University of West Georgia and Sara Ashley at Clemson. Sara Ashley will finish going through virtual Rush tonight...pretty strange.
Hope you are all safe and well.
Take care,
Take care,
Jennie
All of your work is so beautiful, Jennie. I especially love your Leaf and Acorn runner -- such beautiful colors together. And the colors on your newest rug are luscious. I have to ask: did you do the tole painting on the piece behind your flowered crosstitch?
ReplyDeleteI love the Leaf & Acorn runner - your colors are spectacular! I am totally with you on the 'finishing' part - I am always ready to move on to the next shiny object at that point so I constantly have a backlog of binding to do!
ReplyDeleteYou're so productive...as always.
ReplyDeleteI just love that Quirky Lady...and your Leaf and Acorn runner is beautiful. Summer is off to a great start.
You are making great progress on so many projects!
