Slow Sunday Stitching

Joining in on my first Slow Sunday Stitching for 2020. I have spent a lot of time quilting and organizing this week, so today was a good day to prop my feet up and enjoy a little cross stitching.

Here is where I am on Mary Oakley...

I am about 1/3 of the way done . This is my first time stitching on 40 ct. Linen and I love the way that it looks. Linking up with Kathy at Slow Sunday Stitching. Go on over and see what everyone is working on.

This week I’ve completed 2 more 2018 Mystery Designer BOM blocks.

They are pretty simple to construct. I love the way the cute text fabric is used in the center of each block.

These are the last three pieced Liberty Periodical blocks.

Now only two appliquéd blocks to finish.

The vines are now appliquéd on the December blocks. I can now move on to the January blocks. The pieces and background are cut out and awaiting final prepping and then appliqué .

Now this is the truth.....LOL.

Take Care,
Jennie

  1. I did smile at that quote. Lots of lovely blocks here. It looks to me as if there is lots of exact piecing to me. My, your applique vines are a masterpiece. How beautiful they are.

  6. Mary Brown...lookin' good!
Love, love your cross stitch. Lately I have been wondering if some of the cross stitch designs could be interpreted into applique quilt designs.
