This one I could not resist. In fact, when I signed up, I was notified there were no more slots. So I unashamedly begged for them to open more. Obviously others did this, too, and Figtree opened a few more slots using some minor fabric substitutions for their Cream Sparkle BOM. Woohoo!!
These are Month One's sweet 9 patches..4 of each.
This will be a low volume quilt using traditional blocks. Don't you love the scissors fabric? The text print was a substitution for a script, and frankly, I prefer it. Eagerly awaiting Month Two.
A friend of ours generously gave us lots of sweet corn from his garden. It is so yummy. Yesterday we froze 11 quarts.
Today when I finish volunteering at the Extension Office there will be more of the same.
Christi and Rob made it to LV to celebrate the anniversary of 20 years of dating....and life in general.
They SO needed to be able to make this trip.
My stitching Buddy....
Love this big guy. You may note his little crippled leg. Somewhere in his life before he came to his forever home with us, he suffered a broken leg that was never set...he has a big scar not visible in this photo. But he compensates well and can run like the wind.
But please remind me that three is enough!!
Take Care,
Jennie
Love the little blocks for the BOM. I'm glad they were able to accommodate you! Your dog looks so sweet. All that fresh corn is making me hungry just thinking about it. It's been a long time since I've frozen my own fresh corn, but it is ten times better than anything you can get at the store. Happy sewing! --Andrea
ReplyDeleteI'm doing the Fig Tree quilt along also. I think it's going to be gorgeous! I love your sweet baby too. I've got four and I'm holding the line. 😂 Hugs,
ReplyDeleteSO glad to see a smile on Rob's face and hope he never goes to a hospital ever again.
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell are you thinking about starting another BOM? Hell, I'll send you all my pieces and you can finish mine for me if you NEED something to do, lol.
We are going to have to send you to Block of the Month Anonymous!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful picture of Christi and Rob and ditto what Saundra said.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you do with all your quilts? They don't store as easily as rugs and you can't put them on the floor to walk on...lol!
Lauren
LOL! I would have been begging to have more spots open for that cream BOM too! But, we are getting ready to move and so the timing in not good for BOM's. Fig Tree is another favorite of mine...
ReplyDeleteChristi and Rob look so very happy! Wishing them many joyous days ahead! :-)
Buddy is a sweetie! Dogs make the world a better place! :-)
Looks like a fun BOM. Very nice that they were able to add a few more slots. Happy stitching this weekend.
