There is nothing in the stash suitable for the backing, so I will indulge myself and get a 108" backing that I won't have to piece. And then, another one will head off to be quilted.
I returned to Lucy for my Slow Stitching Sunday. Actually, it was gluing the papers in the background fabric, but I think that counts.
I need to prep the background for four more blocks...96 elongated hexies.
Linking up with Kathy at
Slow Sunday Stitching.Christi and Sara Ashley enjoying the GA game...even though the Dawgs lost.
Hope to go see Mattie and work with her this week. Wish I could figure out how to add her videos. She is really making progress.
Take Care,
Jennie
I've seen some of the Mattie videos on FB. She is doing great. I'm sure you'll be happy to have her back home.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is gorgeous.

Goodness, do you ever sleep? And when you do are quilt pieces float around in your head? To me the worst part of making a quilt is getting the backing and warm and natural to fit properly. So you send yours to have someone do the quilting part?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on another top finished. Good for you!
ReplyDeleteThat reddish border really makes the rest of the quilt sparkle.
ReplyDeleteThis is just gorgeous! Congrats on a beautiful finish!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on this finish...the border is perfect and makes everything POP! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat finish Jenny! That's a complex quilt and must feel great to have it in the "Done" pile :*). I'm doing Patchwork of the Crosses blocks also - or at least I stitch up a new one every once in a while LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on a very pretty finish!
