Dogwood ATHA Guild Activities

Last week the Dogwoid ATHA Guild, whose members come from the greater Atlanta area to Tennessee and Alabama, hosted their Spring class and Hook In.
As always, it was a full, busy week spent doing the things we love best....hooking, eating, socializing, learning new things and shopping.

Kathie Meyers taught an incredible class on making hooked purses. What was most remarkable was that most of us came away with our purses completed!!

Kathie showing off three of her many samples.

Jackie's hooked portion.
Laura's beautiful brights.
Diane's Hit or Miss.
Vicky's circles.
Linda's Hit or Miss and matching outfit.
And my circles and Pennies with floral hooking. Just for the record, I hooked my circles as a sample before class, so only had to construct that one.

Sorry, I missed a few.  Love this versatile pattern and plan to make more.

On Saturday, Kathie treated us to a fascinating journey through her life as a hooker. I got some photos of just a few of the great rugs she shared.

Since this post is pretty photo intense, I will save the rug show till tomorrow. Please forgive the quality of my iPhone photos.

Today's Words of Wisdom...

Take Care,
Jennie

  1. Love those bags, Jennie! Is everyone adding the flowers to their bags? I like them with the circles and the flowers.
