OMG Finish and EPP

Last week I was away at Caraway Rug School having a grand old time. This week it has been catch up time.

You saw my Snowball Quilt that I made with FQS....

But I will show the pic again since it was also my One Monthly Goal  finish.....and it is quilt top finish six for the year. That makes me right on goal for finishing one quilt top per month.....woohoo!!

I am a bit behind on the Linda Brannock Flowers quilt...like two appliqués blocks, soon to be three. I have one in progress now. And I have set the first blocks together.

Row nine of Glorious Gardens is finished. Two more full rows to go.

I have lots of pics from Caraway and will share them over the next few days. I am loving my rug and looking forward to sharing it.

Jennie

Fat Quarter Shop Snowball Quiltalong

Today is the unveiling date for the FQS Snowball Quiltalong. You saw where I was working on it on my Instagram and here.
This is my quilt top.....

I love the way these quick and easy Snowball blocks allow for showcasing these adorable Christmas fabrics...

Thanks, FQS, for allowing me to be a part of this Quiltalong!!!

RSC

Today is  Scrappy Saturday.for the RSC 2018. I failed to post the pink nine patches from last month...

And here are this month’s teal blocks...

I couldn’t stop myself from using some of my tana lawns to start this.....

They are mostly Libertys with a few others thrown in.
I needed another project like I need a hole in my head, but this one is so much fun.

I haven’t abandoned Glorious Gardens....I have eight rows joined....three more then the edges to go. My goal is by the end of the summer.

Tomorrow Laura, Kathie and I leave for rug camp and I can hardly wait!! A whole week of no responsibilities, friends and rug hooking. Visit
Caraway Rug School to see what will be going on.

Christi and the kids will return from Hawaii on Monday. They have had a wonderful time, laced with some bittersweet moments. Tomorrow will be hard....Father’s Day and the six month anniversary of Rob’s passing.

I had an incredibly fun day on Thursday. I got together with several of my Grady Memorial Hospital Nursing School friends....most of whom I hadn’t seen since graduation in 1969!

We chatted nonstop...as though we had just seen one another the day before. We are doing it again soon.

Our get together reminds me of this......

Jennie

One Monthly Goal

This month’s OMG   will be to finish the Shortcut Snowball quilt that I am making as a QAL through the FQS.
These are my fabrics....

A 1/2 yard bundle of these Christmas cuties

And this as the background. Just seemed right to do a Snowball quilt in Christmas fabrics.

This is where I am now...

On my design wall and ready to assemble and add the borders. My deadline on this is 6/22, but my personal deadline is 6/15, as I will be leaving for Caraway Rug School in the 17th (can I say that I can hardly wait??).

One of the few things I am not behind on now is the Kaffe Mystery quilt....

Three months’ worth of snowballs that showcase his beautiful fabrics.  Hmmmmm....seems to be a trend with the snowballs here.

This is the rug I will be hooking at Caraway...

Wilton Rose Heroic by Lib Callaway. My teacher will, once again, be Jeanne Benjamin. Love Jeanne and have never done a rug with her that I didn’t like.

The Force came in 2nd (out of 32 teams)in their big tournament at Pigeon Forge.

And these guys are taking a well deserved vacation in Hawaii (despite the volcano; they’ve been assured it won’t affect them).

Take care,
Jennie
