Scrappy Saturday

Although it is a Scrappy Saturday, I can't claim it for 2016 yet, as I am still working to finish off 2015. Earlier in the week, I finished the eleven colors for 2015 in my Postage Stamp Stars. I realized, however, that I really wanted 24 blocks for this quilt. I decided to add turquoise. My 1 1/2" block bin was sadly bereft of turquoise, so I had to cut quite a few squares. The centers are now finished and it won't take long to finish the blocks.
Then I will have to decide on a setting. I know I have said it before, but I love these blocks. Linking up over at So Scrappy. Click the button on the sidebar to see what everyone is up to.

Last night I made good progress on this runner.
Now it just lacks a backing and binding to be counted as a finish.

First you are here....
And then you are wondering how it progressed to this...

Take Care,
Jennie

  1. Teal is such a pretty color. I was sad that it didn't get a turn last year. Such pretty squares

  4. Your teal blocks are so pretty - I just read down and saw the rest of the scrappy stars too; this will be a really lovely quilt when its done. I also like your runner a lot - I've got circles on the brain right now and this caught my eye straight away.

  5. Pretty teal and turquoise and I love those wool pennies. AS to Tell Me the Story Again I just bust out laughing. You'd asked a question about what batting I was using on my hand quilting project..I am using Quilter's Dream cotton. It's thin and lightweight and I really like it :)

  7. Both of these projects look terrific. I have been eyeing wool quilts, and bought a little bit but haven't started yet. Love the turquoise! Also love the fabrics you have chosen for your 365 circles.

  8. If we lived closer you could have visited my shelf of turquoise cottons. Penny rug is pretty, as is your progress on the quilt.

  13. Lots of pretty teals in your blocks. I admire your discipline to finish up 2015 before starting on 2016.

  15. Your turquoise blocks are lovely. I sometimes have to cut new fabric for quilt blocks are supposed to use up the scraps but I try my best not to! I love you little circles, too. The colors are so restful.

We have a pampered pet, too, (an Airedale) but she hasn't asked us to tell her bedtime stories. But one never knows when it will happen!
