A Slow Go

Allietaire has been a slow go this week...for many reasons. First there was a cutting snafu, then my machine went on the blink (AGAIN), and to top it off, it was just a very full week activity wise, which is okay.  I am still on Clue 4, making slow but steady progress....
It is really exciting to go on FB and see all of the wonderful color combos of this quilt that are being made. There are some very creative ladies out there!!!

Quilty Circles 8 & 9 are on the design wall.

And I hope to finish Spring Baskets up in the next few days...
Just a bit of whipping and binding left to do. I had to redo the chain stitch around the basket because I used a strip that was too wide. And I nixed the idea of doing Herringbone and Kalem stitch for finishing. Honestly, it was a big concession to actually whip the edges, but I had the pretty matching yarn, and it is a small piece. The pattern is Spring Basket by Kathie Meyers.

Take Care,
Jennie

  1. Looks like you are making great progress in the quilt puzzle. But then guess because it seems too tedious for lazy me. Your basket rug looks great and love that chain stitch.

  2. Oh, I do love the way you did the basket on that sweet little rug! Is the entire basket a chain stitch using wool strips? What cut?
Happy Sunday to you from suddenly snowy Ohio.

  3. Love this sweet rug Jennie - can't believe how perfectly the whipping yarn matches the wool border! And the special stitches you used on the basket add so much interest to the rug. I need to try stuff like that more often!
