Finally. A Slow Stitching Sunday

It seems it has been quite some time since I made time for a Slow Stitching Sunday...but I am linking up today.

I had pieced this little top, Brickroad, from Temecula Quilt Company, a couple of weeks ago.  I have a wall that I would like to fill with these little guys.  This week I started hand quilting it, and I finished it up today.
I am so not the best hand quilter, but it was fun and a great piece for practice. I used a stencil with a little wavy line and YLI quilting thread.  I always forget how much softer hand quilted items are than machine quilted.  Nice to have a finish at the beginning of the month!

I am trying to finish a Lucy Boston POC block each week....including the 24 background pieces. I had done well keeping up, but this week I fell a block behind. Not the end of the world.

Here are part of the blocks I have finished.
Block 25
Block 26
Block27
Block28

So true.....blessed to have dear friends.

Take Care,
Jennie

  6. I find the Lucy Boston blocks interesting to look at. Some amazing designs form with the fussy cutting.
