What A Week

What started off as a rather normal week fell to pieces midweek as I ended up being hospitalized in the early a.m. hours of Wednesday morning with new onset Atrial Fibrillation.  It wasn't really a surprise, as both my mom and sister had been diagnosed with it, but I had never had symptoms. The good news is that I spent 24 hours in the hospital, going home on new meds. Got a nap on Wednesday afternoon to make up for the lost 24, and continued with my regular schedule through the week. But today the fatigue and stress caught up with me and I crashed. Feeling much better this evening after a relaxing day.

Was able to finish round two of the Fussy Cut Friday stars.

Linking up for
Slow Sunday Stitching.

Month Two of the Cream Sparkle BOM arrived and I got them done right away.

Eight little button blocks....finished.

I also completed June and July's Temecula Quilt Company First Friday blocks...and then the new instructions for August arrived on Friday...lol.

  1. Oh my gosh, Jennie. I'm so sorry you had to go to the hospital but glad you did and have new meds to help control things. Good for you to relax today. Being in the hospital takes its toll. I love your colorful projects. I'm not doing any of them but have a stack of 1 1/2" blocks I want to play with. I have nothing in mind and should probably look for a project before sewing them. I'm feeling the need for a little color in my life. I hope you continue to follow doctor's orders, especially if that includes rest, and that you feel better soon.

  3. Good grief Jennie, slow down. You actually do run around like a crazy person doing the gardening, making dog pillows, and sundry other tasks. I've read some of your blog posts and was exhausted after just reading them. Slow down and rest more. Do the hobbies which relax you ...not stress you. Don't worry about a deadline as it isn't a race.

  4. Jennie,
So happy to hear you are on the mend with a new med. Scary stuff!
Your quilting always amazes me. You get so much done.
Hard to believe the grands are already in school!!!
    Hugs :)

  5. Jennie, I'm glad you were able to get to the hospital and get your heart taken care of. I would have crashed for days. It looks like despite everything, you've managed to get some sewing in. Of course, if you're like me, sewing is kind very therapeutic. Sending healthy heart thoughts your way! Andrea

  6. I'm thrilled that you now know what you are dealing with and are treated. I'm sure you were scared. I'm glad you were able to sew. Adorable grands. My two around here - one starts tomorrow and the one who lives with me starts P-K-4 on the 22nd. I don't know when they start in Albuquerque. Glad you are home.

  7. That had to be scary. Glad they found the root cause so quickly and have it controlled with medication. I really like your Cream Sparkle blocks.
