Six.....

Is the magic number for today.

This block is the sixth out of fifty six for my Lucy Boston Patchwork of the Crosses quilt.  It is the second block I finished while I was away.

A little preparation in advance and this makes for a good portable project.

Tonight I finished the sixth block on the American Fancies rug before I took it off the frame to work on Turkey, Turkey.

Someone missed her mommy....she can hardly stay off my lap or out from under my feet. And she is growing up way too fast, this sweet baby girl.

Rob is celebrating his forty third birthday...and will continue to for several days <VBG>.  We are so thankful for this year and pray for many more.

GRATITUDES:
Another year...365 blessed days.
Sweet Daisy eyes.
Snuggling up to my hubby at night.

Home again....

There is no place like home. It is true. I had a wonderful time, but it was great to see Blake and the doggies. And tonight, Christi and Sara Ashley.  Today has been a day for household and garden chores, preserving veggies and cooking a good dinner. Hopefully, tomorrow will allow some stitching or hooking time.

I forgot to include a photo of my favorite thing at Barb's.

This primitive child's cupboard filled with antique animals stole my heart.

Jackson is liking school and making new friends.

And Sara Ashley is back to school also.

But, with a little break for a family trip to NY where she naturally found a horsey friend.

Hope that everyone enjoys their holiday weekend.

GRATITUDES:
The Word of God.
Mother/Daughter time on the back porch swing.
Chocolate.

Good Bye Vacation

As my hooking vacation draws to an end, I want to share my final photos with you.

Barb's house with the koi pond in the foreground.

The back porch at the Woolley Cottage where we stayed.

Fabulous 4-Patch antique quilt at the Woolley Cottage.

Great antique patriotic quilt.

Sweet little flannel quilt with wool stars.

Pennsylvania windmills.

Beautiful Home in Bedford, PA.

My favorite...love these motifs.

That's all, folks. Tomorrow I will be home. I think someone misses me.....

Done at Barb's

Hooking at Barb's was over in a flash.  We accomplished a lot, and it was a magical time.

I love my handsome turkey. Barb is a genius at color planning.

And then I started Barb's pattern, OberlyTree Coverlet. I decided to do it in more traditional coverlet color scheme and I think I am going to like it.

This Sharon's lion rug done in an unusual color palette.

Deste's whale rug....love the flag she added.

And Anita's version of the Oberly Tree Coverlet Rug.  It looks so different from mine. The colors are beautiful.

Another adorable ducky in Barb's studio.
This one by Saundra of Woodland Junction (Barb said Hello!).

And now, more views of Barb's studio:

We are leaving Ligonier this morning to head back towards Baltimore. Then we will be headed home in the morning. It has been great fun, but there is no place like home.

GRATITUDES:
Adventures.
New sites and sounds.
Home.

More from PA

Don't know when this will actually post, as we have no Wifi in our cabins....only at Barb's house....and Verizon phone service is negligible.

Am having a great time. I am especially enjoying hooking with Barb. It is amazing to see her put colors together from her treasure trove of wool. Honestly, I have never seen so much wool as in her studio, and I am told there is much more in her storage area.

Here is a peek into the red closet. My favorite color.

A sweet vignette in the studio.

Robin's dogs taking a moment's rest in the greens.

Barb's Maine Coon cat, Posey, in her kitchen.

Love this cute rubber ducky rug in Barb's studio.

My rug, Turkey, Turkey, by Warren Kimble after the first day of class.

That is it for now.

GRATITUDES:
A safe flight home for my family.
Cool, clear weather.
Meeting new friends.

Take care,
Jennie
