I really had no intention of joining in on this great challenge this year, irregardless of how flexible and how much fun Angela over at
So Scrappy makes it. I know you feel this coming.....BUT, I ran across this irresistible quilt on Pinterest this morning and knew it would be the perfect, brainless project...
A gazillion little scrappy nine patches set on point. This one is a Nancy Zieman reproduction of an antique. I am in love. So, this afternoon I will be pulling out some light blues to play along.
More GGs. I am rocking these hexies!!
Take Care,
Jennie
Good luck on the gazillion nine patches - it will be a stunning quilt! And I like your hexies. I've never seen one where the centers are one piece like that, but I like it. Such pretty, vibrant colors.
ReplyDeleteAdorable little 9 patches. What size?
ReplyDeleteI was just looking at a quilt top that was very similar and thinking I would like to make one too - love it!
ReplyDeleteAre you just going to use blues for the nine patches? I like the quilt very much. Tempting.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back to another year of scrappy fun with the RSC!! I should probably drag out my Tiny Nines, too.
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous quilt! Can't wait to see it progress.
ReplyDeleteGood to have you back for RSC18. I looove your GGs. Gardening has been a part of my life. I'm so,sorry for your loss. I lost my son two years ago at age 47. God bless you.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, all those tiny 9-patch blocks... so much work but they will look incredible as the months go by!
ReplyDeleteI have seen that image too, and admired it.
I have also loved this quilt since the first time I saw it on Pinterest. How big are you making your 9-patches, 3"? What will be the size of your finished quilt?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that quilt!
