Happy Birthday Rob

My heart yearns to celebrate Rob’s birthday just as we did last year...and so many other years...with family, food and lots of joy....

Instead, Rob is celebrating in heaven with his Lord and Savior, free from the Goliath that stole him away from us.

And we will celebrate here....

Dedicating this beautiful little cemetery on the plot of land that Rob chose, overlooking his beloved farm. He would be so pleased with the attention to detail that Christi has exhibited as she orchestrated the planning of this special site, Ebeneezer Stone Cemetery.

And on his stone, the words he wanted to be remembered by....”courageous, loving, faithful “. I can’t think of any words that could better describe his journey through a life cut short far too soon. Sweet boy, I miss you so. Happy birthday in heaven.

Take Care,
Jennie

I Have Composed....

At least a million blog posts in my mind over the past month. Unfortunately, none of them have made it to my blog. So, here I am, mid August...but at least I am here.

I failed to meet my one monthly goal last month, as I have been totally distracted by Glorious Gardens...

I had promised myself that I would finish this very large (90”x90”),  English paper pieced quilt that I started in January of 2017 ...by the end of August.
Let me tell you that it has been a challenge, and I am not quite there yet, but there is definitely light at the end of the tunnel. My friends, Laura and Mary Lou, have also accepted the challenge, and we plan to have show and tell at our monthly meeting on September 1st. I am HOPING to get finished by tonight. Wish me luck.

My rug camp rug has seen very little work....a bit of border and background...

I really like this big rug....why is everything that I make large????...and look forward to getting back to it soon.

Another thing that has kept me busy is putting up veggies and peaches.

Lots of work, but so worth it when we have fresh things from our freezer come winter.

Debi sent me a pic the other day of one of my quilts that she was working on all loaded on the longarm.

Can’t wait to see this one all done. The binding is made and waiting.

We’ve had lots of visitors to this Little Lime hydrangea.

The old hospital folks had their quarterly meeting the end of July.

Always lots of fun.

Hoping to get back into the swing of blogging. So many folks have left their blogs behind for Instagram. I love Instagram, but I still love blogs.

Take Care,
Jennie
