A Much Needed Day

After several days of preserving food and spending nights away from home, I received the gift of spending several hours in the sewing room today....pretty much oblivious to the rest of the world. Sometimes a girl just needs that.

I finished stitching up and on the final row of Quilty Folk. Then I cut the borders

and almost finished the label.

After that, I spent a considerable amount of time cleaning and organizing.  I am hoping the new approach I have taken to organizing will help me to be more focused.  I know that it will help not to have piles everywhere. I have corralled what I am currently working on into containers on three easily visible shelves. And I have a list to work from....including those BOMs...lol.  It isn't cute, but hopefully it will be functional.  And just maybe I will finish some things up.

Not my dog, but it could be....

  1. I need to follow your lead on the organizing thang. Would hate for you to see my sewing room and wool room right now.....particularly the sewing room with all my homespun piled everywhere, the individual pieces in various places, partial sewn blocks somewhere else and the piles go on and on.

Love that pee O'clock. Ben insists on trying to get me out of bed an hour earlier and I refuse

  2. Bees have been so popular this past year. Maybe in recognition of the bee population shortage. Or maybe just because. Owls were the big thing before that and still seem to be popular.

  3. Hard to believe school will be starting. Your grands start early, right? For the first time my grandson's school district will be starting after labor day (like the good ole days...lol!).
Your daughters are both so beautiful. Me thinks they take after their momma :)
